about

This track is probably my favourite of all the ones I've ever written and recorded. It took me about a month to write and it's sorta got everything I love about instrumental music in it, with nods to my many influences all over the place, which I proudly wear on my sleeve. Here's a few:

- Telecaster-driven harmonies à la "Melodic Joy"-era Richie Kotzen? Check.
- Wah, Whammy and silly noises during the choruses (classic Satch)?
Check
Sonic Team-inspired break?
Check.
Quasi-clean Brett Garsed style leads and modulations?
Check.
Daft Punk-style synth pads and chord progressions?
Check.
Funky groovin' drums and bass?
Check.

I can't stress how awesome the rhythm section is on this one. On rare occasions in life you get exactly what you want. This is one of them.
